The placement process using these measures:

Public Act 12-40 requires institu¬tions to use multiple commonly accepted measures to assess students’ readiness for college-level courses, but does not specify which assessments to use or how to make placement decisions. If a student is determined to be below the skill level required for success in college-level work, students are placed into one of three levels of developmental support: embedded support, intensive support, or transitional strate¬gies.
